Profile

学部卒業後の6年間、途上国の石油精製やLNG（液化天然ガス）等のプラントを建設するエンジニアリング会社に勤務しました。その後、大学院修士課程を経て、途上国開発や国際協力について調査・研究を行なう機関で、8年間、研究者として活動しました。そのうちの3年間は、インドネシアの商工省でJICA専門家として産業貿易政策アドバイザーを務めました。さらにその後、オーストラリアの大学院博士課程で4年間学び、大学の教員になりました。このように途上国の現場とアカデミックな世界の間を往ったり来たりした経験やその時のネットワークを最大限活用しながら、貧困と格差を中心にした途上国開発の研究・教育に取り組んでいます。
